Finding a Rescue Bichon Frise

Maggie and Baby our very own Bichon Frises came to us through a Bichon Rescue Organization. Tom and Kay adopted their girls from Robin and Jack Gray of White Dog Cottage through Tidewater Bichon Frise Rescue. http://www.virginiabichonrescue.org.

See article, “About Us” for Maggie’s story.

In recent years rescue groups have increasingly sprung up providing an alternative to shelters and pounds. Individuals run some groups while others are run by local and national breed clubs or rescue networks. They have become a valuable resource for individuals and families looking for a pet and interested in adopting a dog that has had a hard life and providing it with a loving home.

These rescue groups and organizations are almost always nonprofit and are staffed by dedicated and selfless staff and volunteers committed to saving and improving the lives of “man’s best friend”. They are dedicated to rehabilitating and responsibly placing Bichon Frises in new adoptive homes. Since many rescue dogs come into rescue organizations needing special care and medical treatment expenses can be costly. It is for this reason that Tom and Kay will be donating a portion of the profits from this website to Tidewater Bichon Frise Rescue.
