Bichon Frise: The Family That Plays Together Stays
Together
We’re all familiar with the
old saying “all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”.
Well the same thing applies to you and your relationship
with your Bichon Frise. When you and your Bichon have
fun together it greatly increases the chances that you
will stay together. Because your relationship isn’t just
the daily grind of responsibilities and caretaking. Your
relationship with your dog is not just one way with you
as the master and your Bichon as your pet. When you let
go and begin having fun with your Bichon Frise by doing
activities together in a playful way you enhance you and
your pet’s relationship.
Sometimes we get so busy working, taking care of
business and chores that we forget to make time to have
fun and just play. It’s a well known fact that people
who relax more are healthier and happier. Plus by
engaging in exercise and physical activities with your
Bichon you are keeping him/her more engaged and less
bored so less likely to develop behavioral problems.
What does your Bichon Frise like to do? What are his/her
favorite tricks or games? What dog doesn’t enjoy going
for a walk? You may enjoy running, hiking or playing
catch or frisbe with your dog and you are exercising
together. What about free play in a dog friendly park or
with another dog and master? Well-socialized adult dogs
are great teachers for dogs with less developed doggy
social skills. Most importantly just have fun if you’re
having fun chances your Bichon Frise is too!
